War for the sake of war.
As soon as the "shooting stops," whether it is a temporary ceasefire or an attempt to halt the war with a more prolonged peace, a conflict surrounding this war will begin. Informational in form and value-driven in content.
To correctly explain it, to present it to ourselves and the world. In this confrontation, Russia will attempt to seize what it couldn't achieve through weapons. Therefore, it will launch narratives not only about Ukraine's guilt (which has been ongoing for a long time) but also about the futility of this war, and hence the uselessness of losses (human, material, political). These will be directed at us to demotivate and demobilize Ukrainian society. To break its will to resist, which could not be overcome by armed aggression. They will also target our neighbors, paralyzing their actions with messages: if you do not listen to Russia, you will face the same fate, and the West will betray you.
It's unfortunate, but we are already hearing similar words from Trump, who speaks of a senseless war, emphasizing that if he had been in charge of the USA, it would not have happened.
In reality, whether there will be a war or not, or more precisely, when and what kind it will be, is a decision solely made by Putin, who views it as his primary mission.
In fact, we need to continue explaining to ourselves and the world that this is a war for our existence as a separate nation. We are defending an independent state as the optimal form of its existence and our unique culture as the main essence of that existence.
The significance of this war is global because it stands against the notion that anyone in the world can decide the fate of another nation or even the very fact of its existence. This means that this war is not merely senseless; it concerns the most important historical confrontation between freedom (of nations and individuals) and oppression.
This implies that our losses have not been and will not be in vain. It means that we are not losing this war as long as Ukrainians exist.
This may sound dramatic and even pompous. However, the scale and significance of this war for us and the world are so profound that they demand such a high tone. Moreover, any diminishment of this tone serves to undermine our previous achievements and their global significance. It is an attempt to destroy, through information, what could not be achieved by weapons.
