Some Ukrainians may retire early—five years earlier, at the age of 55. Additionally, some women may retire even before reaching 50, regardless of their age and work experience.
There are several professions that provide citizens with this opportunity. This is reported by the publication "On Pension."
It is noted that the reduction of the retirement age applies, in particular, to drivers of public transport, workers in textile enterprises, agricultural workers, and other categories. The benefits are defined by Article 114 of the Law of Ukraine on "Mandatory State Pension Insurance."
All the mentioned types of early pensions are calculated on general grounds, depending on a person's total work experience and salary. Specifically, these professions include:
Additionally, women with many children. If they work in agriculture and have raised more than five children under the age of 14, they can receive a pension regardless of their age.
It is important to note that this list of categories of citizens entitled to an early retirement pension does not end here. Benefits are also available to parents of children with disabilities or orphan diseases, parents and spouses of deceased combatants, individuals laid off one and a half years before reaching retirement age, and so on.
Recall that earlier "Telegraph" reported that Ukraine will introduce cumulative pensions.
