Russia has targeted the energy system, leading to increased power outages across Ukraine.

On Friday, December 13, Russians launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine, targeting energy facilities. "Ukrenergo" reported an increase in power outages due to the consequences of the shelling.

Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko stated that the energy sector across Ukraine is under heavy attack. Energy workers are doing everything possible to minimize the negative impacts on the energy system.

"As soon as the security situation allows, the extent of the damage will be clarified", Halushchenko added.

"Ukrenergo" informed that due to the massive missile attack on energy facilities, the volume of electricity consumption restrictions on Friday, December 13, has been increased. They reminded that current schedules can be found on their websites or on the official pages of local energy companies.

Recall that on December 13, Russians launched missiles at Ukraine, including "Kalibrs," and also attacked with ballistic missiles and "Kinzhal" systems. Additionally, the enemy deployed a MiG-31 into the sky, and an alert spread across Ukraine. Air defense is actively operational.

As reported by "Telegraf," during the Russian missile attack on Ukraine on the morning of Friday, December 13, powerful explosions were heard in Odesa. Following these, the electricity went out, and electric transport came to a halt.
