Is Velika Novoselka occupied? The enemy has made progress in five areas, according to DeepState (map).

A few days ago, Russian troops began actively storming Velyka Novosilka, which was already nearly surrounded by that time. On the night of Wednesday, January 29, reports emerged claiming that this settlement had allegedly been completely captured by the Russians.

This is indicated by data from the DeepState portal. It is reported that the occupiers have also made progress in several other settlements in the Donetsk region.

According to analysts, Russian forces have advanced in the area of Pisky. Additionally, Russians may have succeeded near Nadiyivka and around Andriivka. Furthermore, DeepState recorded the movement of enemy units in the area of Baranivka.

Regarding the situation in Velyka Novosilka, on January 20, there were reports of the enemy attempting to breach the defenses, utilizing significant resources. At that time, analysts warned about the possibility of complete encirclement of Ukrainian units in the settlement.

On January 23, "Khortytsia" reported a threat of operational encirclement in the Novopavlivka direction, but noted that there was no complete encirclement.

On January 24, analysts from DeepState reported that they had allegedly encircled Velyka Novosilka and entered the settlement. However, fighting for the village continued.

According to the assessment by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) as of January 26, Russian troops controlled 89% of the settlement's territory. Analysts also predicted the possibility of closing a three-kilometer section to the north and west of the settlement.
