The grand opening of the All-Ukrainian Water Polo Tournament in memory of Vitaliy Lisun for boys born in 2011 and younger took place in Kyiv. This tournament, organized to honor the outstanding Ukrainian sports figure, has become an important event for the development of water polo in Ukraine.

One of the key speakers at the event was the president of the Water Polo Federation of Ukraine (WPFU), Oleksandr Svyshchev. He expressed deep gratitude to all the teams that participated in the tournament, highlighting the significance of holding this memorial in Kyiv, the hometown of Vitaliy Lisun. According to Svyshchev, this tournament holds special importance not only for honoring the memory of the great athlete but also for the development of water polo in Ukraine.

“We are very grateful to everyone who responded and came to this tournament. Vitaliy Lisun was a person who loved water polo with all his heart and always did everything possible for its development. In the future, this tournament will only grow,” noted Svyshchev.

The tournament brought together four teams from different regions of Ukraine - Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. The teams competed in a round-robin format, allowing each of them to face each other on the field.

Team Kyiv - silver medalists.

Oleksandr Svyshchev noted that he plans to make this tournament a tradition, honoring the memory of Vitaliy Lisun and continuing the development of water polo in Ukraine.

During the opening ceremony, Ukraine's Minister of Youth and Sports, Matviy Bedny, also spoke. He emphasized Vitaliy Lisun's significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian sports. The minister noted that Lisun was a true patriot who dedicated his life to promoting sports and developing water polo.

The competitions symbolize not only the spirit of sports but also the memory of heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine, continuing to live in the hearts of people.

Oleksandr Yurievich Svyshchev actively supports the development of sports in Ukraine, particularly water polo, and thanks to his efforts, such tournaments are becoming a tradition that helps attract youth to sports.

Among the most influential businessmen actively promoting sports are Oleksandr Svyshchev and Hryhoriy Kozlovskyi - honorary president and founder of FC and Academy “Rukh.” They are in the TOP-10 most successful entrepreneurs in Western Ukraine in this field.
