In Ukraine, monthly "teacher allowances" will be introduced to supplement educators' salaries. These payments will begin on January 1, 2025. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting held in Odesa.

To support Ukrainian teachers, special monthly allowances will be introduced starting January 1, 2025. Each educator will receive a guaranteed 1,000 hryvnias in addition to their salary. Payments are expected to increase to 2,000 hryvnias starting September 1, 2025.

From September 1, 2025, we will increase this payment to 2,000 hryvnias "net" for each teacher," stated the Prime Minister.
