An ecological disaster occurred in the Kerch Strait on December 15, when two river tankers, unsuitable for marine conditions, sank. The incident resulted in a significant oil spill, leading to severe pollution.

The occupying authorities are resorting to the forced exploitation of youth from the temporarily seized territories to mitigate the consequences of the disaster. Students, recruited through the organization “Young South,” are performing hazardous work under the guise of “volunteering.” They are promised credits in exchange for participating in cleaning the coastline near Anapa, which poses a risk to their health.
