Relentlessly striking the enemy, the emblem of the "Holy Barbara" missile brigade carries significant meaning.

It was established back in 1997.

The chevrons worn by Ukrainian defenders on their uniforms serve not just an aesthetic purpose—they carry a wealth of information. These insignias allow one to identify where a soldier is serving and which branch of the armed forces they belong to.

New symbols of Ukrainian army units began to emerge in 2014, and each one is a unique emblem with its own history. "Telegraf" explains the meaning of the chevron of the 19th Missile Brigade "Saint Barbara", which features a scorpion.

The emblem of the "Saint Barbara" brigade depicts a black scorpion on a red background. At the end of the scorpion's tail is an image of the "Tochka-U" missile, indicating the brigade's armament. Furthermore, the tail itself resembles the trajectory of a missile's flight. The color scheme of the chevron signifies its affiliation with missile troops and artillery.

The primary mission of the "Saint Barbara" brigade is to deliver high-precision fire strikes against the enemy through group and single missile attacks on troops and critical targets. "Saint Barbara" is equipped with tactical missile systems "Tochka". The 19th missile brigade was established in October-November 1997. On December 5, 2019, the brigade was honored with the title "Saint Barbara"—the patroness of missile troops and, more broadly, those who work with fire.

Previously, "Telegraf" reported on what the emblem of the 32nd Reactive Brigade symbolizes, which features a dragon. The fire from the dragon's mouth resembles missile salvos.
