Essential items for mobilized men heading to training centers: what to pack for a smooth transition and readiness.

As the mobilization in Ukraine continues, many Ukrainian conscripts will need to spend some time at basic military training centers. This has led to frequent questions about what items to bring.

The Unmanned Forces shared their advice. They emphasized that the main rule should be that all items must fit into a shoulder backpack with a capacity of 40-50 liters.

"When preparing to join the army, all necessary items for basic combat training will be provided to you, but it's still advisable to bring some personal items," the message states.

The most essential items are hygiene products — they must be personal. This includes a toothbrush with a case, a comb, a towel, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and a safety razor.

It's also beneficial to bring metal utensils — a bowl, a spoon, and a mug.

Clothing is mostly provided, but having 2-3 pairs of underwear, several pairs of antibacterial trekking socks, and t-shirts will be useful. A needle and thread should also be included for clothing repairs.

At the basic military training, you will need to take many notes, so bring a black ballpoint pen, a pencil, and several notebooks.

It's recommended to prepare warm clothing; however, it's best not to bring a blanket as it won't fit in the backpack.

Make sure to have necessary medications, especially if you have conditions that require specific treatments. Even if you don't have any, it's still wise to pack bandages, blister plasters, antifungal foot sprays, mosquito/tick repellents, and pain relief tablets.

Rubber slippers and a raincoat will also be useful. Additionally, you might want to bring matches or a lighter, a headlamp with red light, and a multitool. Don't forget chargers and a power bank to stay connected with your loved ones.

It's important to remember that weapons, alcoholic products, drugs, or valuable items are prohibited at the basic military training. However, it is not necessary to remove your wedding ring.
