At the beginning of the week, some regions of Ukraine may see a dusting of snow, while others will be covered by thick fog on December 30. The first days of the year are expected to be warm.
"In the morning on December 30, fog is expected in the western and Vinnytsia regions, with visibility of 200-500 meters (Level I danger, yellow)", — warned the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to meteorologists' forecasts, on Monday, December 30, no precipitation is expected in Ukraine. During the day, temperatures will rise from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius.
1The last day of 2024, Tuesday, December 31, will bring sunshine to Ukraine, the dense clouds will disperse, and clear skies are expected across the country, except for the east and Kharkiv region. No precipitation is anticipated. At night, temperatures will range from +1 to -4 degrees, while during the day, forecasters promise temperatures between 1 and 7 degrees above zero. The warmest weather will be in southern Ukraine.
2On New Year's Eve, January 1, no precipitation is expected, with air temperatures ranging from -2 to +2 degrees. During the day, light rain is possible in Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Kyiv, and Sumy regions. The rest of the country will remain dry, with overcast skies and occasional clearings. The first day of the year will be warm – thermometers will show temperatures from 2 (Transcarpathia) to 11 (Kherson region) degrees above zero.
3On Thursday, January 2, it will be cloudy with clearings, and light rain is possible in the western and northern regions of Ukraine, as well as in Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions. Night temperatures are expected to be between -1 and +5 degrees, while during the day, temperatures will warm up to 3-9 degrees above zero.
4On Friday, January 3, part of Ukraine will be affected by rain mixed with snow. Night temperatures are anticipated to be between -1 and +5 degrees, while daytime temperatures will range from -1 to +6 (with +7 in Crimea) degrees.
5Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that in January, Ukraine will be hit by cold from Greenland. The most significant impact will be felt in the western part of the country, where temperatures could drop to -10 to -13 degrees.
