A Kharkiv resident won a bronze medal at an international diving competition.

Young Kharkiv resident Varvara Kanashovich secured third place at the international diving competition Meeting des Lumières 2024.

This was reported by the Telegram channel KHARKIV SPORT CITY, as conveyed by "Dumka".

It is noted that the girl is studying at two schools simultaneously - in the seventh grade of Kharkiv Lyceum No. 109 and at a French school. Her family was forced to leave Kharkiv and seek refuge in another country. There, on New Year's Eve, she claimed third place at the international diving competition Meeting des Lumières 2024 in the French city of Bourg-en-Bresse.

"However, the determined and hardworking girl from Kharkiv manages to excel not only in her studies. She is also actively involved in sports - diving in Switzerland. For three consecutive years, she has been recognized as the best athlete in the canton of Geneva for diving," the message states.
