The Mine Action Coordination Center at the Kharkiv Regional State Administration today introduced a new mechanized demining machine.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to him, over 1.25 million hectares of land, including agricultural lands, power lines, roads, and bridges, are contaminated with explosive objects.
"The new mechanized demining machine is an innovative development from Kharkiv. It is built on the basis of modern domestic technology and meets high European standards of safety and efficiency," wrote Synegubov.

Its cost is approximately 450,000 euros. This equipment replaces imported counterparts, which are three times more expensive. Its repair will be more cost-effective and prompt, as spare parts and components are also produced in Ukraine.

The machine is equipped with a 320-horsepower engine, track and support rollers, and a hydraulic system that allows it to raise the working mechanism and drive onto a trailer for transportation.
5
The working mechanism features interchangeable parts – chains with hammers or a cutter for digging into the ground to a depth of up to 30 cm, enabling the destruction of munitions, primarily anti-tank mines.

"Quality and timely demining of de-occupied territories is the implementation of the 'Safety' point of President Volodymyr Zelensky's Plan for the country's internal resilience. This is also one of the main challenges for the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration," the head of the region added.

Thanks to this technology, the demining process in the Kharkiv region can be expedited, ensuring the safety of sapper teams and fostering the development of Ukrainian manufacturing.
