A choir member from the Kharkiv region was killed in the war.

Today, November 23, the Zhatopol community bid farewell to the gunner and operator of the 3rd division of the 2nd operational platoon, Alexander Cherkashin.

As reported by "Dumka," this information was shared by the mayor of Zhatopol, Nikolai Bakshiev.

He mentioned that in peaceful times, the young man studied first at the fifth, then at the third lyceum of society. He graduated from the Liatoshynsky Music College and then continued his studies at the conservatory. He worked as a choir member at the Holy Trinity Church in Kharkiv.

Alexander was called up to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2024. Alexander Cherkashin died on November 13, 2024, as a result of a combat encounter with the enemy near the settlement of Novodanilivka, Zaporizhzhia region.
