At night, Russian forces launched an attack on Volchansk with nearly the same intensity as on Kupiansk, according to the General Staff.

In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the Kharkiv direction and four in the Kupiansk area.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the General Staff, as of the morning of January 7, 2025, Ukrainian troops in the Kharkiv region continue to hold their positions and effectively repel enemy assaults.

In the Kharkiv direction near Volchansk, the enemy attempted to breach the defense three times, but all attempts were thwarted by our military forces.

In the Kupiansk direction, the occupiers intensified their activities near the settlements of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Topolia, and Zahryzovo. Over the past day, there were four assaults in this area, all of which ended in failure for the adversary.
