Despite the advance of Russian troops towards Borova, their presence in certain areas, particularly in Kolesnykovka, remains unconfirmed.

This is reported by the American analytical center "Institute for the Study of War" (ISW), as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to ISW, Russian forces continue their attempts to advance in the Borova area of Kharkiv Oblast. As of January 8, the enemy has managed to advance within 12 kilometers of Borova, although one of the Russian military bloggers claims that the distance has been reduced to five kilometers.

Geolocation footage released on January 7 shows how a Ukrainian armored vehicle temporarily entered Kolesnykovka, located northeast of Borova, and retreated without encountering Russian troops. This indicates that the occupiers likely do not control the entire territory of the settlement.
