Russia is planning disruptions, with U.S. intelligence warning of potential threats to Western defense industries.

Russians are resorting to sabotage activities in Europe and are attempting to recruit agents in the United States.
Согласно американской разведке, Россия намерена совершить диверсии, что представляет угрозу для оборонной промышленности Запада.

American and European defense companies may become targets of sabotage by the Russian regime. Recently, Russian entities have been actively attempting to carry out acts of sabotage both in the United States and in other Western countries.

This is mentioned in a special bulletin from American intelligence agencies. The National Counterintelligence and Security Center, the FBI, and the U.S. Department of Defense have issued a warning regarding this matter.

According to U.S. intelligence, Russian regime operatives are attempting to recruit employees from the U.S. defense industry. Anyone involved in American defense work is advised to avoid contact with any suspicious outsiders on company premises or in restricted areas. Major U.S. defense companies, such as Northrop Grumman Corp., Raytheon, Boeing, and others, are under the watchful eye of Russian intelligence.

"American companies, especially those supporting organizations involved in the conflict in Ukraine or other current geopolitical conflicts, should, as a best practice, enhance vigilance and strengthen security measures," the statement reads.

Another issue is the activities of Russian intelligence services in Europe. Russian intelligence resorts to aggressive methods, including recruiting criminals to organize arson, armed attacks, cyberattacks, and other acts of sabotage and terrorism against U.S. allies in Europe. The Russians are attempting to undermine the operations of Rheinmetall, Nammo, Diehl, and several other major players in the defense industry of EU countries.

"Russia's sabotage activities in Europe pose a threat to American companies abroad and potentially within the country," the bulletin notes.

It is worth recalling that it was recently revealed that the Russian regime planned to carry out a series of terrorist acts aboard passenger and cargo planes flying from Europe to the U.S. and Canada. Only chance and the negligence of the Russians prevented many tragedies.

As reported earlier, there has been an increase in sabotage incidents at defense plants and other facilities in the West. For example, a fire at the Diehl Metal Applications factory in Berlin recently occurred, where IRIS/T air defense systems are produced. Experts do not rule out that intentional damage to equipment may have been the cause.

On August 30, an explosion occurred at a explosives manufacturing facility in Troisdorf, Germany. As a result of the explosion, two employees sustained serious injuries. Law enforcement suspects sabotage.

As reported by "Telegraph", the Russian government planned to assassinate the CEO of the German arms company Rheinmetall, Armin Papperger, in early 2024. However, the assassination attempt was thwarted. Moreover, on the night of April 29, a summer house belonging to the head of the Rheinmetall defense consortium was set on fire, with the motive cited as the company’s weapons supplies to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
