This was stated by the German Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius, as reported by the German publication Spiegel. Pistorius reminded that Putin has fully transitioned Russia to a war footing, with the Russian economy operating almost exclusively for warfare; in just three months, the Russian defense industry produces as much weaponry and ammunition as the entire European Union does in a year.

"Russian aggression against Ukraine has long ceased to be a regional conflict. Our security is a fragile asset", noted Pistorius, calling for increased investments in the German defense industry, as security and survival are at stake.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK and former commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi stated that the Russians will be able to achieve a significant breakthrough on the front after 2027. By that time, they will have accumulated enough resources and "technological materials."
