In the war, a 23-year-old defender from Lozova, Kirill Grinya, lost his life.

He was born on August 7, 2001, in Lozova. He trained as a mechanic, had a passion for technology, and helped with repairs. During the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, he was on active military service and later signed a contract to continue fighting, despite sustaining two injuries and a concussion.

"He was one of those who always assisted his comrades, never regretting his strength. The junior sergeant, commander of the armored vehicle, and commander of the 1st parachute assault unit, died on January 4, 2025. Unfortunately, he did not have the chance to start his own family. The fallen soldier is survived by a sister and a grandmother," the message states.
