A real winter is arriving in Ukraine, but it won't last long. Here's what to expect for the weather on January 5th.

On Sunday, January 5th, the weather in Ukraine will resemble winter. However, the cold will not last long, and "spring" will return to the country starting January 7th.

This is stated in the forecast by Ukrhydrometcenter. During the daytime, the air temperature will hover around -2 to +3 degrees, while nighttime temperatures may drop to -8 degrees.

Forecasters note that most regions of the country should expect dry but cloudy weather, although precipitation may occur in some areas in the center and west.

Additionally, temperature fluctuations and humidity may lead to the formation of ice.

The most severe frosts are anticipated in the western regions, while the south will experience milder conditions.

Nighttime frosts will persist into Monday, but it will warm up during the day. Furthermore, significant precipitation in the form of wet snow will also arrive in Ukraine on Monday.

The situation will stabilize on January 7th, when thermometer readings will rise to +10 degrees not only in the south but also in the west.
