On Saturday, December 21, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) defended his world championship titles from the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO in the heavyweight division in a rematch against former world champion Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs). The Ukrainian and the Brit topped the boxing evening in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
All three judges awarded the victory to Usyk with a score of 116-112 (three times), however, Fury is convinced that he won. The "Gypsy King" made the corresponding statement at the post-fight press conference, as reported by TheMacLife.
"I thought I won both fights, but I'm coming back with two losses on my record. I'm not going to cry about what happened. There's nothing I can do about it, but I'll think I won until the day I die", — said Fury, who had a massive bruise under his right eye.
Let us remind you that after his victory, Usyk showcased to the audience in Riyadh a genuine saber of Hetman Ivan Mazepa, which was specially brought from Ukraine for this match.
