Первая победа Трампа: США добились успеха в переговорах с Колумбией по ключевому вопросу.

After threats from U.S. President Donald Trump to impose sanctions and tariffs against Colombia for refusing to accept deported migrants, an agreement was reached. After enduring sanctions for 49 minutes, Colombia agreed to "unlimited acceptance" of its citizens being returned from the United States, including by military aircraft.

Now, deportation flights will be fully resumed, and the U.S. will refrain from imposing additional trade restrictions. This was reported by CNN.

The conflict began when Colombia declined to accept two military planes carrying deported individuals. President Gustavo Petro stated that the U.S. "cannot treat Colombian migrants like criminals."

In response, Trump announced a "state of emergency 25% tariff" on all imports from Colombia, with the possibility of increasing it to 50% within a week. A ban on the entry of Colombian citizens and the cancellation of visas for Colombian officials in the U.S. was also announced.

Later, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt announced that an agreement had been reached. The U.S. will not impose tariffs; however, visa sanctions and increased cargo inspections will remain in effect until the successful return of the first group of deportees.

Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo confirmed the resumption of deportation flights. The country's president ordered a special flight to be designated for the repatriation of Colombian citizens facing deportation from the U.S.

Previously, "Telegraph" reported on how the President of Colombia reacted to Trump's threats of tariffs and sanctions. Petro spoke very dismissively about the sanctions against Colombian authorities and the ban on Colombian officials entering the U.S.
