"Shchedryk" will scout enemy positions on the front lines: discover what makes this new drone unique (photo included).

In Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense has launched a new reconnaissance drone for the Armed Forces, aptly named "Shchedryk." It is symbolic that this occurred on Christmas, particularly when the city where the melody's composer, Mykola Leontovych, lived—Pokrovsk—is currently under attack by Russians. However, the drone is already being actively deployed at the front lines.

This is a domestic development that operates day and night, in both heat and cold. Along with the drone, a control station is included in the package. This drone was created in Vinnytsia, and the first models began striking the occupiers at the front as early as 2023.

Among the important features of "Shchedryk" are its resilience not only to strong winds but also to hostile electronic warfare systems. It is stealthy due to its silent electric motors.

• Speed — 150 km/h
• Payload capacity — 8.5 kg
• Maximum flight altitude – up to 4 km
• Data transmission range up to 50 km.

It is also noted that the "picture" quality is impressive; the device is equipped not only with optics but also with a thermal imaging camera. Each "Shchedryk" model has been enhanced before being sent to the front to meet the needs of the units.

Previously, "Telegraf" reported on the registration of a project to create an investigative commission due to the supply of substandard 120-mm shells to the Armed Forces. They have been recalled to the factory.
