Following the increase in transportation costs in regional centers, prices are also rising in smaller cities. Starting April 1, 2025, the fare for trams in Kamenskoe, Dnipropetrovsk region may go up.

The city council's executive committee is currently considering a proposal to raise the fare from 6 to 8 hryvnias. The main reason for this decision is the significant increase in the components of the fare over the past three years, including electricity costs and the rise in minimum wage.

According to the company's calculations, the economically justified fare that would cover all expenses should be 13.80 UAH. However, considering the social importance of tram services, city authorities have decided to limit the increase to 8 hryvnias.

The current fare is one of the lowest in Ukraine. In the regional center of Dnipro, the fare is 10 UAH, while in western regions, tram rides cost between 10-15 UAH (Ivano-Frankivsk, depending on the payment method), 13-25 UAH (Lviv), and so on. The decision to increase the fare has not yet been finalized and will be subject to public discussion—comments from individuals and legal entities will be accepted until March 21.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that prices for suburban transportation in Kyiv have soared. The cost of reaching the capital from Bucha, Boryspil, etc., starts at 65 UAH.
