The documentary film "Porcelain War," featuring three Ukrainian artists from Kharkiv, has officially been nominated for an Oscar.
This information was reported by the publication "Ukrinform" referencing the nominated films announced by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as conveyed by "Dumka."
It is noted that the film will compete for the title of "Best Feature Documentary." The project was created in collaboration with filmmakers from the USA, Ukraine, and Australia. "Porcelain War" tells the story of three porcelain animalistic artists from Kharkiv: Slava Leontiev, his wife Anna Stasenko, and their friend Andrei Stefanov.
It should be noted that the Oscar ceremony will take place on March 2 in Los Angeles. The host will be American comedian Conan O'Brien. Additionally, another Ukrainian film, "Once Upon a Time in Ukraine," has made it to this year's Oscar shortlist.
