Rescuers in Kharkiv saved five people at the site of shelling of a five-story building in the Kyiv district.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the State Emergency Service, the shelling caused partial destruction of the five-story residential building, along with a fire on the roof and in the apartments on the upper floors.

Five individuals were rescued. A fire covering an area of 80 square meters has been extinguished. A total of 54 rescuers and 12 units of equipment were deployed to the scene. Psychologists provided assistance to the victims. Eight people were injured, including one child.
