In Kharkiv region, a woman who lost her parental rights was still receiving social benefits for her children.

In Kharkiv region, a woman who had lost her parental rights was exposed for committing fraud regarding social benefits.

This was reported by the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the police, in April 2023, the woman was stripped of her parental rights, yet she continued to receive funds for her children, which she used for her personal needs. Due to the submission of false information in official documents and concealing her loss of parental rights, the woman unlawfully received 35,000 UAH.

Investigators have notified the offender of suspicion for committing a crime under part 1 and part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Fraud). The woman faces up to three years in prison.
