Currently, there is a trend from the Russian side to target Ukrainian police officers, including in the Kharkiv region.
This was reported by the head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Kharkiv region, Petro Tokar, as stated by "Dumka".
"As soon as the occupiers see a marked police vehicle with flashing lights or any stickers, they attempt to attack it using aerial means. For example, FVP drones. A certain trend has already emerged," Tokar noted.
According to him, currently, law enforcement officers are trying to avoid using service vehicles to protect themselves and to be able to assist people. The Ukrainian police have already become a specific target for the occupiers.
As is known, in recent days, Russia has significantly intensified shelling against police vehicles and the officers themselves. For instance, yesterday, January 21, around 9:00 AM, the invaders struck police officers in Kupiansk with a "Lightning-2" UAV. Three police officers sustained shrapnel wounds of varying severity.
