Despite the reduction in artillery shelling, Russia is not facing a shortage of ammunition, says Shiryayev.

Fighters from the Kharkiv battalion are battling against Russian paratroopers and Soviet-era equipment.
Хотя артобстрелов стало меньше, Россия не испытывает нехватки снарядов, утверждает Ширяев.

The commander of the 225th battalion spoke about the condition of Russian equipment, the use of armored personnel carriers, and the reduction in the intensity of shelling.

This was shared in an interview with the publication "Dumka" by the commander of the 225th Airborne Assault Brigade, Hero of Ukraine Oleg Shiryayev.

According to Shiryayev, the Russian army is actively utilizing the numerous remaining Soviet armored personnel carriers and other equipment.

"We are mainly fighting against Soviet equipment: APCs and armored personnel carriers. However, we sometimes encounter more modern models – such as 'Tigers', 'Typhoons', and various 'Akhmatmobiles'. Additionally, Russians frequently use ATVs and buggies,” the commander noted.

Although the number of artillery shelling from the Russians has decreased (from 50,000 strikes per day to 30,000), it is still too early to talk about a shortage of ammunition. The reduction in activity is influenced by the successful strikes of Ukrainian forces on enemy logistics convoys and supply bases.

"The Russians still have enough artillery, but statistics show that our strikes on their convoys and logistics are yielding results. We must maintain the momentum and continue to pressure them to further diminish their capabilities,” emphasized Shiryayev.
