It has been revealed how much prices for grains, sunflower oil, and eggs have increased over the past year in Kharkiv.

The prices of certain grocery items in Kharkiv have increased by 11-23%, although some products have seen a decrease in price.

In Kharkiv, the prices of buckwheat, flour, millet, and eggs have risen over the past year, while the prices of some types of rice have decreased.

This was reported by the Kharkiv City Council, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the city administration, an analysis of prices for essential grocery items and chicken eggs was conducted in Kharkiv. Information from the Department of Administrative Services and Consumer Market indicates that the cost of several products has significantly increased over the past year. The largest increase was seen in flour, which rose by 23%, followed by buckwheat (22%) and sunflower oil (19%). Millet became 11% more expensive, while sugar increased by 12%.

Currently, the average price for a kilogram of buckwheat is 32.5 UAH, millet is 28.3 UAH, sugar is 33.5 UAH, and 850 ml of sunflower oil costs an average of 70.9 UAH.

At the same time, prices for some goods have decreased. For instance, round rice has dropped by 5%, and long-grain rice by 9%. The average price for a kilogram of long-grain rice is now 52.9 UAH, while round rice is 57.5 UAH.

The significant price increase has also affected chicken eggs. Compared to January of last year, their cost has risen by 15%. A dozen currently ranges from 50 to 80 UAH depending on the producer.
