In Kharkiv region, mobile pharmacies serve over 90 mobile points and supply medications to the residents.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the OVA, thanks to the project, residents of remote and war-affected areas, where stationary pharmacies are absent, can purchase necessary medications. Currently, the routes of mobile pharmacies cover the settlements of Kupiansk, Shevchenkove, and Velykoburluk communities in the Kupiansk district, as well as the Starovyrivka, Zmiiv, and Stara Saltiv communities in the Chuhuiv district. Additionally, it includes the Novovodola community in the Kharkiv district, and the Borova, Barvinkove, Izium, Balakliia communities in the Izium district, along with the Bohodukhiv and Berestiv communities.
"Despite the challenges of a full-scale war, we continue to develop the healthcare sector in the Kharkiv region and provide residents with quality medical services. Kharkiv region became the first in Ukraine to implement the operation of mobile pharmacies. These are mobile points equipped with everything necessary for pharmaceutical activities," said Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
The first mobile pharmacy began operating in January 2024, and by April, an additional vehicle was added, allowing for an expansion of the service area. In total, the routes cover 91 settlements in Kharkiv region.
Each such pharmacy is equipped with a generator, cash register, and temperature and humidity control devices for storing medical products. Local residents receive information about the arrival of the mobile pharmacy from their family doctor or local authorities.
We remind you that in January 2024, the first mobile pharmacy became operational in Kharkiv region. The pharmacy on wheels moves through areas where outpatient clinics and medical facilities have been damaged.
