Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina from Kharkiv revealed that maintaining her team and preparing for tournaments throughout the year requires a significant amount of money.
This was reported by "Sport.ua", as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to media sources, the amount ranges from $400,000 to $600,000.
"Currently, this is a more or less fixed amount. I spend approximately $400,000 to $600,000 a year on team salaries, logistics, and recovery programs. It’s difficult to 'cut' [expenses]. There are set prices for coaches and the team. This is a substantial amount that needs to be covered; it’s an integral part of my career," the athlete shared.
The well-known tennis player emphasized that these are essential investments that cannot be avoided.
"You have to invest in yourself and do everything possible to maintain the ability to play at a high level. It’s not a matter of choice; without this, it’s hard to achieve anything," Svitolina stated.
