Svitolina has reclaimed her title as the top-ranked tennis player in Ukraine.

A Kharkiv native is reclaiming the top spot in the national ranking following Marta Kostyuk's disappointing performance in Merida.

This was reported by the Telegram channel KHARKIV SPORT CITY, as noted by "Dumka".

According to the channel, starting next Monday, the title of Ukraine's top tennis player will once again belong to Elina Svitolina. This is made possible after Marta Kostyuk's unsuccessful showing at the WTA 500 tournament in Merida, which caused her to drop to 24th place in the live ranking.

Svitolina, currently ranked 23rd in the world, is regaining her status as the best tennis player in the country.

Despite temporarily losing her leadership position, Kostyuk is showcasing powerful play and continues to compete for the highest ranks. We congratulate Elina on her latest achievement and wish Ukrainian athletes further victories on the international stage.
