In Kharkiv, a court has sentenced a man who, during a conflict in 2019, inflicted a knife wound that resulted in serious consequences.
This information was reported to "Dumka" from the verdict of the Dzerzhynskyi District Court of Kharkiv.
The court in Kharkiv delivered a verdict to a local resident who, back in 2019, inflicted a knife wound on another individual during a conflict, causing severe bodily harm.
The incident occurred on the night of September 13, 2019, near food kiosks on Klochkivska Street. During an argument between two men, another person intervened, and the attacker assaulted him with a knife. The blow struck the left shoulder, resulting in significant blood loss and traumatic shock.
The Dzerzhynskyi District Court found the accused guilty under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional infliction of serious bodily harm) and sentenced him to six years in prison. Since the man was already serving a sentence for another crime, the total prison term was set at 8 years and 6 months.
The new sentence will commence on February 25, 2025; however, the time already served under the previous sentence will be taken into account.
