In the Kharkiv region, a woman was employed in the occupying migration service.
В Харьковской области сотруднице, выдававшей российские паспорта, может грозить 15 лет лишения свободы, сообщает ГБР.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR) reported suspicions against the former chief specialist of the Kupiansk department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, who, according to the investigation, assisted traitors in obtaining Russian citizenship.

This information was provided to the publication "Dumka" by Alexander Belka, spokesperson for the Territorial Office of the GBR in Poltava.

According to him, in the summer of 2022, when the enemy occupied the Kupiansk district, the woman sided with the Russians and began working as an inspector in the migration service established by the occupiers.

The suspect accepted documents from Ukrainian citizens who intended to obtain a Russian passport during the occupation and explained the nuances of the procedure. She also underwent training organized by the Russian occupiers, which covered operations under Russian law. During the liberation of the region, the woman fled to a territory not under control.

She is suspected of collaborationist activities (part 7 of article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanctions of the article provide for a punishment of up to 15 years of imprisonment. The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office is conducting the procedural guidance.
