In the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian forces successfully struck a Russian air defense system valued at $40 million.
This was reported by the press service of the Third Assault Brigade, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the brigade, an FPV drone managed to hit a Russian Buk-M3 in the Kharkiv region.
"The Russians were so confident in their 'super defense' until our FPV drone came along and shattered it. Now the 'Buk' has a new hobby – being scrap metal," the brigade stated.
Note. The Buk-M3 (9K37M3, NATO: SA-17 Grizzly) is a medium-range air defense system for ground forces. It is designed to engage maneuvering aerodynamic targets, attack radio-contrast ground targets, and defeat surface targets under conditions of intense fire and electronic countermeasures. The Buk-M3 has an estimated cost of around $40 million.
