In 2024, over 10,000 water samples were analyzed in the Kharkiv region, with 3.3% failing to meet sanitary standards.

This information was provided by the Kharkiv regional center for public health, as reported by "Dumka".

According to the center's data, a total of 10,438 samples of drinking water from the centralized water supply networks of Kharkiv and the surrounding area were tested in 2024. It was found that 3.3% of these samples did not comply with sanitary and chemical requirements. The most significant deviations were recorded in the Izium, Kupiansk, Lozova, and Kharkiv districts. The water exceeded the standards for turbidity, color, hardness, iron, sulfates, nitrates, ammonia, and chlorides.

In terms of microbiological indicators, 2.7% of the samples also did not meet epidemic safety requirements. The highest number of violations was found in water from street water supply columns in certain areas of Kharkiv. All relevant authorities have been informed about the identified violations.
