In 2024, drivers failed to pay 37% of fines for traffic violations, with the total number of unpaid fines in the country exceeding 1.8 million UAH.

According to analysts, in 2024, Ukraine recorded 735 thousand new overdue fines for traffic violations. In total, the registry has accumulated 1.8 million debts. Just in 2023, the number of such cases increased by 33%, and compared to 2021, it has risen 2.4 times.
The regions with the highest number of debts are: Dnipropetrovsk region (10.4%), Kyiv (10.3%), and Odesa region (7.8%).
At the same time, Kharkiv became the only region where the number of such violations decreased by 3.9%.
The most significant increase in fines occurred in western Ukraine: in Ternopil region – by 81%, in Ivano-Frankivsk – by 60%, and in Transcarpathia – by 57%. Meanwhile, in Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kherson regions, the number of cases decreased due to military actions and the temporary occupation of certain territories.
