In a village near Kharkiv, a Soviet soldier still "holds" a plaque commemorating the Great Patriotic War on a pedestal, while the red flag has been repainted in blue and yellow.
According to "Mysl," this was reported by the initiative "Decolonization. Ukraine."
As per the organization's data, in Pokotilivka, just a few kilometers from Kharkiv, a monument featuring a soldier holding a flag has been preserved. However, the Soviet flag has been repainted in the colors of Ukraine, yet the pedestal still displays a plaque with the hammer and sickle and references to the "Great Patriotic War." Meanwhile, portraits of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war have been placed near this monument.
